10 Faults Of Microsoft

You need to know...........

10 nagging Microsoft Windows issues screaming for attention

Microsoft has built its empire with the success of Windows platform. Users have accepted the OS with arms wide open around the world. It’s the most used OS and dominates a huge global market share.

Even having such consumer loyalty Microsoft always neglected some major issues with their OS.
Recently Microsoft launched Windows 7 Service Pack 1.But despite timely OS upgradation, some serious problems remained the same.
Here are the ten serious faults that Microsoft should take care of as soon as possible.
It’s overstuffed
Since its invention to current Windows 7, the OS always remained bloated.
It’s understandable that Microsoft wants to support the old applications but nonetheless it is making the OS slower and heavier. It consumes excessive processing power and makes it vulnerable to the hackers.
Security problems
Microsoft assured the users that Windows 7 is more secure than Vista. In most of the standards it really is. But it’s not completely secure.
Even Windows 7 is hacked by the cyber criminals. They steal data and corrupt the hard drive completely. That’s a serious issue and Microsoft needs to solve it.
Security threats are growing rapidly
Even a few years ago, security threats were not as high as of now. More and more hackers try to steal data and every year major corporations face such attacks.
Windows has always been the favorite target of the hackers and despite OS upgradation the situation got worse.
Lack of app store
Applications will rule the web in near future. Apple realized this fact earlier and they launched the Mac App Store for their desktop version of Mac OS X.
Microsoft always neglected the apps section and never had any apps store. They should introduce an app store for Windows 7 or the developers and users will simply shift to Apple.
Negative identity
Most of the people think Microsoft has a monopoly business in the computer world due to their most successful invention of Windows.
Their market supremacy made them a “Evil Empire” in the eyes of the industry and common people.
Cloud challenge from Google
Recently Google has launched a new plugin that would allow users of Microsoft Office to upload their Word documents online through Google Docs.
Though Microsoft's Window Azure is Cloud Services Platform, Google's new tool is expected to offer tough competition.
It will be interesting to see how Microsoft answers the Google challenge. But if they don’t shift their policy with the changing times they may lose their numero uno position in future.
Mac OS challenge
Contrary to Windows, Mac OS is lightweight and far more secure than Windows.
Mac may not have a large share in OS market but they don’t have the security problems that Windows brings. Microsoft needs to improvise or consumers will shift to Mac OS gradually.
Pulling the enterprise from XP
Due to the failure of Vista many corporate houses did not shift to Windows 7 platform as they are afraid that it won’t suit their needs.
They use Windows XP and feel secure. Microsoft should try to attract both the general and corporate customer towards Windows 7.
The Vista jeopardy
The vendors, partners and shareholders all were angry with the failure of Vista. Windows 7 healed that pain a lot but still people are skeptical about how Windows 7 will perform.
Microsoft should send the message that Windows 7 is what Vista should be.
Lack of PR
Microsoft has always been criticized for Windows. While some said it’s an evil monopoly, some pointed out its faults. Microsoft never replied back.
They should communicate with the critics and common people and help them to see how useful, life changing yet simple Windows platform is.
