Top 10 Irascible Men on TV

  Who are your favorites.......

The 10 Hottest Guys on TV

We’ve narrowed down our list of the sexiest guys on TV to just ten – who are your favorites?

-Kathryn H. Cusimano

Jon Hamm
We’ll always love informative shows like Planet Earth, but when we tune into TV, we’re usually looking to tune out. Whether we’re looking to escape a long day at work or just veg out with a few girlfriends, a little eye candy can go a long way. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite men to watch when we need a little pick me up at the end of a long day – do you agree with our picks?
1. Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl)
Chace Crawford
After three seasons spent on the Upper East Side, Chace Crawford is still one of our favorites. His boyish face and sexy hair keep us coming back to the Gossip Girl hottie, despite Nate’s occasional philandering. His Gossip Girl character may be accustomed to the finer things, but we love that offscreen, Chace is a low-maintenance guy. “All you need is a pool table, beer, an electric jukebox and good conversation,” Chace told People of his ideal date. “The day a girl beats me in a game of Beirut [a kind of beer pong] is a good sign!”
2. Taye Diggs (Private Practice)
Taye Diggs
Let’s just say we’d be more inclined to follow doctor’s orders if we had regular appointments with Dr. Sam Bennett. The multitalented actor has been a familiar face on television for many years, but he’s at his best in the medical drama Private Practice. “I'm very fortunate to work with some really amazing actors that I respect and look up to,” Taye says. “It's just the right time and the right kind of climate. People are digging it and I hope that they continue to.” Whether he’s co-parenting with Audra McDonald’s Dr. Naomi Bennett or sharing a steamy kiss with Kate Walsh’s Dr. Addison Montgomery, we’re definitely digging Taye’s performance.
3. Stephen Moyer (True Blood)
Stephen Moyer
On HBO’s True Blood, Stephen Moyer’s brooding vampire Bill Compton gives sparkly Edward Cullen a run for his money. His old-fashioned Southern drawl and tragic eyes are positively irresistible, but Moyer says that television was never really part of his plan. "I didn't want to do film or commercials or television," the Royal Shakespeare Company vet told Details.“That was cheap. That was selling out. I was the classic liberal, left-wing, 'Theater is going to change the world' kind of person. You know, very, very boring.” Despite young Stephen’s inhibitions, we think his time in Bon Temps has been anything but boring.

4. Jon Hamm (Mad Men)
Jon Hamm
Can you say swoon? The stoic, philandering, alcohol-swilling Don Draper is truly a bad boy on Mad Men, though his polished adspeak and dapper looks have won many hearts. Arrogant Don is far from the perfect man, but Hamm is just as humble as we want him to be. “Look, I know I hit the jackpot here,” Hamm told GQ magazine of the role. “I found this role that sits well on me. I've managed to become successful without any taint of compromise. I get to share it with my girl. I get how lucky I am." Could he get any better? If only we could be the girl he shares his success with.
5. Josh Hopkins (Cougar Town)

5. Josh Hopkins (Cougar Town)
Josh Hopkins
Neighbors never seem to be this hot in the real-life suburbs. Hopkins plays Courteney Cox’s sexy neighbor Grayson Ellis on Cougar Town, and though he recently dated Sara, played by guest-star Sheryl Crow, he and Cox’s Jules won’t be able to keep the sparks at bay much longer. “The whole ‘Will they or won’t they?’ aspect of their relationship is starting to heat up,” Josh says. “It’ll be realistic, so it’s going to be a bit of a bumpy ride.” We’ll stay tuned for the whole thing – or at least to see Josh take his shirt off (…it happens in almost every episode).
6. Matthew Settle (Gossip Girl)
Matthew Settle
The true eye candy on Gossip Girl may be fresh out of high school, but there’s no reason the more mature stars should be overlooked. As hip dad Rufus Humphrey, Matthew Settle gets his fair share of onscreen drama, but he doesn’t seem to mind. “It’s invigorating to see adult characters with a lot of life,” he told us. “And love triangles are always interesting to cause drama,” he adds of his character’s martial woes. While it’s all drama in front of the camera, offscreen, there’s only love. “It’s a wonderful group of people to work with. I’m very fortunate.”

7. Simon Baker (The Mentalist)
Simon Baker
With his tousled blonde locks and easygoing smile, you can’t help but love Simon Baker. He wins us over again each episode with his effortless charm – not to mention his hot body – but the Aussie actor is no pretty boy. While other actors may fret about their appearances, Baker doesn’t do much more than watch his beer intake: “The only concern I have about physical appearance these days is that I can’t have too much of a beer gut because it hurts my back,” the actor says. Simon, we’ll take you any day – beer gut and all.
8. Zachary Levi (Chuck)
Zachary Levi
Geek never looked as sexy as the tall, dark and handsome Zachary Levi. As the title role in NBC’s Chuck, Levi plays a geeky, accidental spy whose awkwardness and sincerity are practically deadly to nerd-lovers. These ladies will be pleased to know that Zachary himself isn’t far off from Chuck: “I'm really just being myself for the most part,” Levi says. “I love playing the kind of guy who's a little unsure of himself, stumbles over his words, and, you know, kind of fish out of water stuff, that's fun.” We just can’t get enough of Levi’s unlikely American hero.
9. Matthew Morrison (Glee)
Matthew Morrison
Mr. Schuester is the high-school teacher we always wanted – fun, earnest and damn good-looking! It doesn’t get much better than a teacher who stands up for underdog students. Even when the school’s top mean girl, cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, tries to bring him down, Mr. Schuester stands up for those wacky glee-clubbers. And who wouldn’t want him on her side? Even Madonna is a fan! The Queen of Pop recently watched her first-ever episode of Glee, and she’s already hot for teacher: “I think Mr. Schuester is very cute.” We couldn’t agree more.

10. John Krasinski (The Office)
John Krasinski
As The Office’s Jim Halpert, John Krasinski manages to make paper-pushing sexy. His impeccable timing and inimitable expressions won us over from the start. Yet in the beginning, Krasinski was afraid the show wouldn’t last. “I remember I asked the executive producer for a DVD of the six episodes we'd completed because I was pretty certain we'd never make it to the end of the season and I really wanted to show my mom what I'd done,” Krasinski says. Lucky for us, the show continues its successful run, and Krasinski has a pretty easy job: “I would say I have a mellow way about me and a spontaneity that is similar to Jim's,” he says. His resemblance to the adorable Jim just makes us like him more. If only his fiancé Emily Blunt weren’t standing in our way…
